At the beginning of October, the second retreat of the IZKF Research Training Group took place at the Fraunhofer Research Campus in Waischenfeld.

A new term of office within the IZKF Executive Board starts on 1 October. Prof. Dr. Michael Wegner and Prof. Dr. Aline Bozec take over the positions of the chairman and his deputy.

On July 23 and 24, the internal colloquium for the new project funding period of the IZKF took place. Out of 52 submitted project proposals, 46 projects were presented.
